Ever since I first connected to the internet on a 56k modem, I've been drawn to web development and design. What started as automatically generating web sites using Microsoft FrontPage developed into manually editing HTML, and using CSS style sheets and Adobe Flash. I also taught myself Macromedia Flash 6 and ActionScript using tutorials online, and since then have been developing these skills further, by making websites for friends and myself, through skills learnt during my time at university and during my work in industry.
With my experience, I have been able to build strong web design and development skills, with particular focus on XHTML, CSS, PHP, SQL and Adobe Flash. I also understand how websites can be designed to not only make them very usable by all types of users, but to also be optimised for quick loading, and to appear high within results from search engines such as Google and Yahoo.
My work in industry also helped me to build integrated web solutions and tools, including blogging integration, customisable home pages, web to SMS and MMS integration, and much more, including online games development, Adobe Flash splash pages and standalone tools.
My attraction to Adobe Flash came from my desire to learn to program, and my natural artistic skills. Adobe Flash allows me to combine both of these skills to create online applications that are both attractive and dynamic.
All the sites listed in the Right panel are examples of my ability to create stylish sites that are also functional, CSS/HTML valid, and utilising the latest technology for media delivery and web integration. Examples of my Flash work can be found in my Flash Gallery.
